Our team includes senior consultants drawn from a wide variety of relevant disciplines including investment banking, equity research and financial journalism.
Tilly joined the Buchanan team in February 2017 from the Taylor Bennett Foundation, where she worked in partnership with financial PR firm Finsbury. She holds a first class honours degree in History from Kings College London. Currently she supports a number of client teams with logistics and research in a variety of sectors across the consultancy.
Alex has over twenty years’ experience in corporate communications and has specialised in providing strategic advice to financial services businesses. He has advised clients that have ranged from Fortune 500s to fintech start-ups and has considerable experience in working with organisations that have sensitive communications challenges involving addressing highly vocal and sensitive stakeholders. His clients in the financial services sector have included HSBC, Lloyd’s of London, Barclays Wealth, St. James’s Place, Nasdaq, the European Banking Authority, Promontory Financial Group, Credit Suisse Asset Management, BoNY Mellon, Giles, and a wide range of listed funds.
Andreea CaraveteanuAccount Manager, Quill
Andreea joined Quill in May 2016 having previously worked at Four Broadgate. She holds a First Class BA (Hons) in Public Relations from the University of Westminster. During her studies Andreea undertook work experience at Lansons Communications and the European Parliament.
Augustine ChipunguSenior Associate
Augustine joined Buchanan in 2017. He previously worked for Bell Pottinger where he advised listed companies across a broad range of sectors including mining, financial services and telecoms. At Buchanan, Augustine advises clients across a similar range of sectors. Prior to financial PR, he worked for the economic think tank, the Legatum Institute, producing their annual flagship publication, The Prosperity Index.
Augustine holds an LLB Law degree from the University of Essex.
Mark joined Buchanan in 2003 from The Times newspaper, where he was a senior financial journalist writing business news, features and analysis. During more than 15 years in business journalism he worked for titles including; The Times, The Sunday Telegraph and Investors Chronicle.

Nicola CronkAssociate Partner
Nicola is a Director at Buchanan and an experienced consultant with over eighteen years of corporate communications and financial PR experience. She has advised both public and private companies in all aspects of financial communications.
Nick CroysdillAccount Director, Quill
Nick joined Quill in April 2016, having worked in-house at one of Europe’s fastest growing tech start-ups. He has over seven years of agency experience, managing national and international campaigns for financial and professional services organisations. At Quill, he advises a range of clients, from global asset management houses to independent Asia-focused investment specialists.
A University of Manchester graduate, Nick also spent a year studying in Bologna.
Sam EmeryManaging Director, Quill
Sam joined Quill in February 2011 having previously worked at Penrose Financial (now MHP Communications) in the institutional fund management team. He subsequently moved in-house to Swiss private bank Banque Bonhôte & Cie and its trust company Bonhôte Trust as a marketing manager before joining the new private wealth management company, Charles Mia Ltd.
Catriona FlintSenior Associate
Catriona joined Buchanan in July 2015 and currently provides support on client accounts across a broad range of sectors, working on logistics and account planning. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Business Management from the University of Leeds.
Ellis FordAccount Director, Quill
Ellis joined Quill in July 2017 from Kaso Legg Communications, having worked with a number of large asset management firms, wealth managers and fintech companies. She began her professional career at MRM London and has over four years’ agency experience, devising and implementing a variety of communications programmes for companies within the professional and financial services sector. She holds a BA (Hons) in Communications and Media Studies from Bournemouth University.
Golam HaqueFinance Director
Golam joined Buchanan in 1993 and was appointed as Finance Director a year later. He has extensive experience in the financial communications sector having worked for some of the major City Financial communications companies since 1980. Golam oversaw the sale of Buchanan to WPP in 1997.
Fiona HarrisExecutive Chairman, Quill
Fiona has 30 years’ financial services PR experience with a strong track-record of delivering strategic solutions for both growing and established brands. Fiona has an enviable network of media and industry contacts and extensive experience in steering clients through times of corporate change and in crisis management. She founded Quill in 2000, having previously held senior roles at Grandfield Rork Collins, Financial Strategy (now FTI Consulting) and Citigate.
Henry joined Buchanan in 2015 and is a financial public relations and media specialist with over 20 years’ experience. Henry specialises in managing financial calendar programmes and assisting both domestic and international companies through the IPO process. Henry has advised on more than 60 listings on a variety of markets and also has considerable experience in M&A transactions.

Victoria HaynsAssociate Partner
Victoria joined Buchanan in 2015, having spent the previous eight years at MHP Communications. She has significant experience in financial calendar reporting, crisis communications and corporate profile raising for companies in a broad range of sectors. Victoria holds a BA in Business Finance from Durham University, gained her Investment Management Certificate in 2012, and previous positions include Tavistock Communications, Brunswick and Burson-Marsteller.
Jamie is a corporate and financial PR specialist with over seven years’ experience in both the City and West End. Jamie has experience in building profiles for companies of all sizes in the run up to an exit whether that is through a trade sale or IPO. Jamie has worked across numerous sectors, however has a focus on life sciences and technology having worked at a major pharmaceutical company and represented large Silicon Valley based tech companies.
Jamie graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2008 with a BA (Hons) in Politics.
Chris joined Buchanan in 2016 with a broad corporate communications and investor relations background. Prior to joining, Chris worked for BP Plc (FTSE 100) in their communications function, Kentz Engineering and Construction Plc (FTSE 250 prior to acquisition) in their investor relations team and as a consultant at a boutique reporting agency. He has a wealth of experience providing investor communications, and corporate and sustainability reporting advice across a wide array of sectors.
Chris LaneAssociate Partner
Chris is a Director at Buchanan Communications. He has 14 years of financial communications experience and has advised numerous listed and private companies on corporate reputation, liquidity events and ongoing financial reporting.Client experience includes work for both large corporates and growth companies and recent IPO experience encompasses the flotation of a current FTSE 250 constituent.Chris has also played a key role in advising companies on employee and customer/partner communications connected to IPOs and other events.
Anna MichniewiczAssociate Director
Prior to joining Buchanan in 2014, Anna worked for Bishopsgate Communications, advising its natural resources clients. Before that, she worked as an equity analyst for mining teams at Ambrian Partners, Canaccord Genuity, Fox-Davies Capital and Edison Group. Anna graduated with a Masters Degree in Economics, Marketing and Commerce from Poznan University of Economics. She also holds an Investment Management Certificate (CFA Society) and Level 3 Certificate in Investments (Securities & Investment Institute).
Olivia joined Buchanan in 2018 after spending 16 months developing a specialism in the growth sectors and IPO process at another London agency. There, she worked on multiple IPOs, financial reporting and communications with the retail and institutional communities. Currently she supports a number of client teams in a variety of sectors across the consultancy. Olivia graduated with a First Class Honours in Philosophy from Trinity College Dublin.
Bobby MorseSenior Partner
Bobby joined Buchanan in February 2001 and has built the Natural Resources practice from scratch over the past eight years. Bobby has advised on over 30 IPOs during his career and has considerable experience in M&A transactions. Previous Experience includes; Merlin PR, Paribas Capital Markets (now BNP Paribas), Georgeson & Co and Beeson Gregory (now within Investec).

Gemma Mostyn-OwenSenior Associate
Gemma joined Buchanan in November 2015 after graduating from the University of Edinburgh with an MA (Hons) in History. Since joining the team, Gemma has been providing logistics and support on a cross-sector basis.
Emma MurphyDirector, Quill
Emma joined Quill in January 2018 from Citigate Dewe Rogerson, where she was a Director in the Corporate Practice. With over 20 years’ public relations experience in London and Sydney, including Broadgate Mainland (now Four Broadgate), Porter Novelli and Sefiani Communications Group, Emma has advised a number of clients predominantly in the investment, retail banking and wealth management sectors in a variety of pan-European, APAC and UK-focused campaigns. Emma studied Business, specialising in communications, at the London College of Printing and Distributive Trades, (now London College of Communication, University of the Arts).
Richard OldworthExecutive Chairman
Richard joined Buchanan in 1984 and has been involved in all aspects of financial communications from major cross-border contested transactions to IPOs. Having qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG, Richard subsequently spent four years in investment banking before moving into financial communications.
Kirsty PrestonAccount Executive, Quill
Kirsty joined Quill in April 2017 having completed an internship in social media and marketing. She holds a First Class BA (Hons) in Classical Civilisation from the University of Warwick. At Quill Kirsty provides support for the team and manages the social media accounts.
Ben joined Buchanan in 2005 and has worked across a number of a sectors including support services, financial services and alternative energy. Ben now specialises in Energy and Energy-related services and has extensive experience in advising on M&A and crisis and reputational management.

David Rydell joined Buchanan as a partner in 2017, having spent 20 years in financial communications with other leading London-based practices. David commenced his City career in institutional fund management with a leading life insurer before applying his skills as a national newspaper financial journalist for ten years. He went on to become Editor of a leading financial title before transferring his experience to financial communications where he has worked since 1997. He represents companies listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange as well as the Alternative Investment Market and has international experience across NYSE, TSX and SGX exchanges. He also advises a number of internationally recognised businessmen and women on personal and business affairs. Specialist sectors include leisure and gaming, commercial and residential property, support services, construction, media, and financial services.
Charles has over 20 years’ experience in financial public relations. He joined Buchanan in 1993 when Lombard Communications, where he was previously employed, merged with Buchanan. His experience covers IPOs, contested deals and ongoing financial communications programmes.

Giles SandersonDeputy Chairman
Giles has been advising on financial communications since 1993. He specialises in financial public relations and capital markets communications, including M&A, restructurings and IPOs, having advised on the communications programmes of nearly 40 IPOs. He joined Buchanan as Deputy Chairman in 2015, having previously worked at Powerscourt and Financial Dynamics (now FTI Consulting).
Madeleine SeacombeAssociate Director
Madeleine joined Buchanan in January 2015 and currently works across a range of client services providing logistics and support. She graduated from Durham University in 2014 with a BA (Hons) in Politics and Philosophy.
Stephanie started at Buchanan in November 2014 having spent 18 months at another financial public relations firm. She previously gained a First Class Masters degree in Corporate Communications and Reputation Management from Manchester Business School, following a degree in Economics and Spanish.
Sophie joined Buchanan in 2011 from a luxury travel sector public relations firm where she started her communications career. Since joining Buchanan she has worked with a broad range of clients across a variety of sectors, advising them on their financial communications, investor relations, M&A and crisis management issues. Sophie graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2009 with a BSc (Hons) in Biology.
Henry WilsonSenior Associate
Henry joined Buchanan in 2016 after completing a Masters at Oxford. He supports a number of client teams with logistics and research across the consultancy.
