Adrian Colman - Chief Executive Officer of Wincanton

Buchanan has worked with Wincanton since its de-merger from Uniq plc (formerly Unigate plc) and listing on the London Stock Exchange in 2001.

Wincanton is a leading provider of outsourced logistics and transport solutions. It aims to be the supply chain provider of choice by working collaboratively with customers to provide them with a competitive edge through more efficient, flexible and cost-effective supply chains.

Buchanan has helped Wincanton communicate its investment strategy since its de-merger. Most recently our advice has focused on articulating the strategy to reduce net debt while concentrating on cash generation, with strong results reducing net debt to £57.6 million as at 31 March 2015, down from £107.6 million as at 31 March 2013.

Recent contract wins and extensions with blue-chip clients such as B&Q, Halfords and Dairy Crest have demonstrated Wincanton’s ability to drive efficiencies for its customers. Buchanan has supported this momentum with a proactive financial communications campaign around the transformed business which now has the financial and balance sheet strength from which to drive growth and generate value for shareholders.
